Last night we arrived in Morondava after a long drive. Morondava is a small town located on the west coast of Madagascar.
On the way to this town, we passed by the famous Baobab Road of Madagascar. As the name suggests, many baobabs grow along the road and in the surrounding area. Baobabs are giant trees with mostly very short branches for their size.
There is also a special feature on this road, namely the Loving Baobabs. These are definitely worth a visit.
We had the opportunity to enjoy the sunset with the baobabs in the foreground. It was simply breathtaking.
Because the sunset was so beautiful, we decided to watch the sunrise at the same place today. So we were picked up early in the morning and driven to the baobabs.
Unfortunately, due to the fog, we couldn't see the sunrise, but the atmosphere created by the mist and the trees was very special. It was worth getting up early.
It didn't matter that the night was a little shorter, because today we have a relaxing day at the beach. So we relaxed by lazing around and taking a walk in the village.
In the evening, we enjoyed the beautiful sunset at the beach.
before ending the relaxing day at a local bar. Unlike the other places we have visited so far, the town has quite a few tourists. However, we were the only ones in this bar. We met a musician who sold us his album and didn't hesitate to sign the cover and give us his phone number. On the way back to the hotel, we had some trouble getting rid of a lady who followed us persistently and probably wanted to offer her services. We didn't really understand what she wanted from us in detail. Eventually, we managed to escape from her and retreat to our room.
