After shopping, having breakfast and coffee at the coolest cafe, I set off to climb Mount Te Aroha.
Although I knew it was going to rain, I didn't care at that moment because I didn't have anything else to do today.
So, I packed my things and started walking. Ana already told me that it would take about 2.5 hours to go up and down.
Afterwards, I got a map from the lady at the information desk and started walking.
The weather wasn't great, but when I listen to loud music, I don't care about anything else, so the rain didn't bother me.
The trail was really challenging! Admittedly, my fitness isn't the best 🙈 but I'm young and still had some difficulties. (How do old people manage that?)
You might see why in the pictures.
The view from one of the platforms was really great.
Finally, when I reached the top, I was just proud of myself,🙈although the view wasn't great because I couldn't see anything, it was still great.
For the way back, I chose a different path.
This is the mountain, although it's not fully visible.
Daily Summary:
30,000 steps😏
22 km💪
1310 calories😜
250 floors (it was very steep)
4 hours duration
The track will have you climbing 952m in total, so be prepared for alpine conditions at the peak. 😁
The actual view ;)
