On Saturday morning, I got on the bus again - this time heading to Ipoh. After passing through the Cameron Highlands, I arrived at my hostel after about five hours. I was warmly welcomed there and received some tips right away. After dropping off my stuff, I headed out immediately. First stop, Mural Art's Lane, a street filled with artworks by various street artists. Some of the paintings were a bit older and peeling, while others still looked good, but they were all amazing. The paintings give a completely different impression of the city. From Mural Art's Lane, I continued to the old town. Here, you can also find street art, although not as concentrated as in Art's Lane. However, there are beautiful paintings in alleyways and side streets as well. The old town is overall very beautiful. There are many colonial buildings and the small alleys and side streets give it a certain charm. Although everything is a bit run-down, the old town left me with a good feeling. During my tour, I also discovered a huge sports field and realized that frisbee is played there. I took a break and watched for a bit ^^ After the tour, I went back to the hostel where I read a bit (finally had some time for that!) and then went to a night market. Unlike in our country, there wasn't mainly food at the market but rather clothes, shoes, and such. There was only one place to eat, and they perfectly understood my request for "something with noodles, not spicy!" Since I wasn't really interested in buying clothes, I went back to the hostel quite soon. There, I read a little more and then went to bed. Or rather, I settled down on the big bean bag, which was my sleeping arrangement for the next two nights...
