Today we are in Souda (Chania) and the weather is expected to be wonderfully nice with 30 degrees. We have not planned any excursions today but are going to disembark individually and look around to see what is available.
I was already awake very early today, so I could watch the first arrival in the harbor from our balcony. I find it quite exciting how such a large ship is maneuvered. When my two men finally woke up, we went for breakfast. The selection is overwhelming, but I especially love the juices and the Tui Power Muesli.
During an announcement by the cruise director regarding information about the harbor and excursions, we learned that there is a bus to Chania that costs only €1.80 per person each way for about a 20-minute ride. We took advantage of this and set off.
Chania is a wonderful little town, and one should definitely take a look at the Old Town and the Old Harbor. The narrow alleys with the partly old walls in combination with the newly built parts are indeed very fascinating.
By noon, we were back on the ship. We had a light meal, and while my husband took a little rest, I used the time to test out the gym on Deck 12. Exercising with a view of the sea is actually enjoyable.
At 6 PM, we even set sail in daylight towards the next port (Piraeus, Athens). Afterwards, we decided to have dinner at Atlantik Klassik today. The menus that you can assemble by yourself are really great.
We then ended the evening comfortably with a few cocktails at the Unverzichtbar on the pool deck.
