I participated in a hackathon called Invent for the Planet from Friday to Sunday where we had to find solutions/develop ideas for current world problems. It was organized by MIT in Texas and universities from all over the world participated (for those who are interested, here is the link: Invent for the Planet | Texas A&M University Engineering (tamu.edu)). Many of the problem statements were quite technically challenging. Our team consists of two Finnish people, a German, an Indian, and myself. After some initial struggles, we managed to come together and started working on our project. We focused on the topic of vision impairment in developing countries, which is a huge problem in those regions. It was impressive to see what the other teams accomplished in just one weekend. As a conclusion, we ordered pizza for everyone after our pitches. It was a very tiring experience (on Friday, for example, we were at school until 10 pm, and on Saturday, I had to wake up at 6 am) but it was also incredibly exciting and challenging. I even got to meet some locals ;)
