Just after my first 'big' vacation, it was actually clear to me.... 'I had to do that again'
Last year I went alone with a backpack to Thailand for 4 weeks. The experiences, the backpacker life, and everything else has stuck with me since then. Just living the complete opposite of 'normal life'.
Living day by day, seeing what comes to you, and not knowing where you will be the day after tomorrow... Just letting go, that's exactly what I liked back then.
For all those who want to laugh again (vakantio.de/lostinparadise)
At least last year it was clear where I was going... Vietnam... But this time not alone. Even though it was a nice experience last year, I couldn't really share my experiences. This time, none other than Tommy is coming along ;-) An old buddy from Munich. The plan is: Departure from Berlin or Munich to Moscow and then continue together to Saigon. After that, we have a whole 3 weeks to get to Hanoi before flying back.
Otherwise, we have the first 2 nights secured and everything else will fall into place. We have a rough route in mind, but that's about it for the preparations. According to the motto 'We live by spontaneity'.
Otherwise, today it's all about... 'I pack my backpack and take with me':
- Phone (hopefully it will come back home this time)
- Phone2 (in case the first one doesn't happen)
- Tablet (for lonely YouTube evenings)
- Clothes (for 5 days, it has to be enough... after that, we'll see)
- Medications (especially, my lifesaver CHARCOAL TABLETS)
- Passport (with a valid visa for a whole 100€...)
- Toiletry bag
So tomorrow morning we will drive to Berlin by car and then it's time again... 'Goodbye, take care, see you soon'...
