San Francisco greeted us with very warm temperatures, lots of sun, and plenty of insects. In addition to my damaged hands, I now also have about 15 mosquito bites per leg.
San Francisco is a really beautiful city, with a gorgeous pier and great viewpoints. However, it is also very busy, so we spent most of our time outside the city. It was really great to meet Ben's loving family and to see my first baseball match :) The Pirates versus The Giants :)
For lunch, we had 'Crab Mango Avocado Tower' together, which was really suuuuper delicious. However, a phone call suddenly threw us off track. A bushfire had broken out near our house and all roads would be closed. We drove back as fast as possible, but the police wouldn't let us through. We tried to take a different route and internally battled with great excitement and fear. I think I need to correct myself because those were really minutes/hours of fear that I experienced, a kind of shock. Thankfully, thank God, nobody was hurt and the fire was brought under control. I don't think I can fully describe it because I have never experienced anything like that, but I am glad that nobody was hurt.
