When, where and for how long? That is currently the most frequently asked question, of course justified. So that you can always check how the planning looks like, I have now transferred it from our personal notebook to the blog.
On 01.03.2017 we finally start :) We start at 14:30 with the Airbus 380 of the airline Emirates to Dubai. Around midnight we have 3 hours to stretch our legs at Dubai airport before continuing to Singapore at 03:15 - there we arrive at 14:40 local time. In Singapore we have booked a double room in a hostel - so we can explore the world metropolis from 02.03. - 05.03. and celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary on 03.03. In the evening of 05.03. we continue at 19:10 by plane towards Australia. There we arrive in Darwin (DESTINATION) at 13:35 local time after a short stopover in Perth. So we are on the other side of our world. Now we have 14 days to explore the city, get used to the tropical climate, open a bank account, apply for a tax number and look at potential employers. We have booked a double room in a hostel as accommodation (60 AUD per night! - bunk beds in a 10-bed room would save us 4 AUD per night - so it was not an option for us). On 20.03. we will continue in the afternoon for another 2.5 hours to Bali - we will stay there until 05.04. and do some traveling. On 05.04. we will fly back to Darwin and start our working life. It's time for another vacation after 6 weeks. Or as Patrick says, for every year of apprenticeship, we take 1 week of vacation - he has also deserved it after two apprenticeships ;) During the time of working, we want to buy a car to explore the west coast with it. But when exactly we will do that and the exact route, we will decide spontaneously. It is only certain that we would like to be in Melbourne or Sydney for Christmas and New Year's Eve - we will also go back from Sydney to Bangkok in February. From Bangkok we will explore a part of Thailand. And on the night of 02.03. to 03.03.2018 we will celebrate our 2nd wedding anniversary at the Full Moon Party on the beach of Koh Phangang. We will only have the exact dates of the return flights after arrival in Australia, but we will of course inform you.
