After dismantling our camp one last time, we headed to Darwin. It was only 310km away, which delighted us. The further north we drove, the greener our surroundings became. The rain is good for the dried out and burnt nature, everything comes alive and blooms. We are amazed by the change.
Just before Darwin, we stopped at a newly opened shopping center, where we bought some things for the next few days. Finally arriving in Darwin, we had to carry all the boxes and backpacks from the car into the apartment. We then enjoyed the afternoon with a delicious cider, which we deserved.
Now we have 76 days of road trip behind us. We still can't believe that we have traveled 2/3 of the continent of Australia. And that with Maxi, who is about to reach 500,000km on the odometer.
In the next few days, we will see how many kilometers we have driven and find out more details. Now we are living again in the city center of Darwin, in Ross's (my former employer) apartment. He is now in Melbourne for 4 months. The plan now is to wash Maxi and our accessories and then sell them.
