Surfin` USA - the Beach Boys

We started our day today with a lavish hotel breakfast and didn't peel ourselves out of bed until around 10:30 am. Of course, the kids screamed for food as soon as they woke up. Nadi went out and got everything our hearts desired.

Yesterday, we mentioned that Clearwater Beach is great for a nice beach. However, it wasn't until today that we truly experienced the waves that the Gulf of Mexico brings to the coast. It quickly became clear what our challenge would be today... First, we spent a lot of time swimming in the ocean and letting the waves whirl us around... but eventually, this made us crave more. There was an opportunity for the three of us Beach Boys right nearby: a wave surfing attraction! With proper beach sounds, we were able to put our surfing skills to the test. We may not have been ready to ride the waves off Hawaii just yet, but we didn't do too bad for being inexperienced. Our two biggest fans cheered us on and captured everything on film and in pictures.

We spent the late evening having a few drinks, playing giant Jenga, and enjoying various other games with the kids at a bar with live music.

We all had a lot of fun today and now we're looking forward to 3 days in Orlando!
