My dears,
In this post I'll show you a small part of the beach that was my home for almost a week at Golden Bay: Pōhara Beach. The campsite is right on the beach and in addition to my tours I spent a whole day lying on a bench in the sun and reading the whole day. I also always enjoyed dinner in the sun with the sunset in front of me. Such a peaceful and quiet place. Simply wonderful!
In my last post I also told you that I would show you my last stop from the previous day: the Labyrinth Rocks. A local project in which the special rock formations in the area have been used to create a small, fun terrain, because in addition to the many bends and forks and the labyrinth-like structure, the volunteers have hidden small figures all over the area for visitors to discover.
The tour through the garden took me about an hour and then I set off hungry for dinner.
I've done quite a few hikes in the last few weeks and I'll be honest with you: I was fed up with long walks and I've definitely canceled anything that takes more than three hours to walk for the next few weeks. But Golden Bay is also home to one of the most beautiful multi-day hikes in New Zealand and I didn't want to miss it completely. So I decided to simply take a boat along the beaches of the Abel Tasman Track.
Look forward to a booty-filled next post,
Your Britta
