Bruno starts off!

Imechapishwa: 27.07.2019

Since we arrived on vacation, our routines have changed completely. We get the impression that Bruno needed a vacation from home too. From the day of our arrival, he has been sleeping better at night and doesn't want to breastfeed as often. However, falling asleep has been a bit difficult lately. Of course, in the beginning, it was also because of the new environment and the new structures. Steffen and I agreed before the vacation that Bruno should go to bed later so that he can sleep longer in the morning. Frequently, he falls asleep again in the late afternoon and then he is wide awake. As a result, he sometimes doesn't fall asleep before 9 PM! Unfortunately, our theory of sleeping longer has not yet come true, so one of us has to get up at 5:30 AM with Bruno.

Bruno is currently making huge leaps in development. Just one week after we arrived here, he sat down on his own for the first time and stayed sitting. It's amazing to see when your own child, who has been lying down for months, suddenly sits in the middle of the room!

Before, Bruno was already crawling around the apartment and practicing being on all fours. And now, suddenly, three days after the first time he sat, he started crawling. Of course, still a bit wobbly, but quite purposeful and tireless.

We still see the topic of food as very relaxed. Bruno hardly likes savory dishes. He prefers to eat fruit or a rice cake or a piece of bread roll. I still find breastfeeding so convenient that I have no rush to start him on solid food. Especially when we're out or at the beach, I don't have to prepare or keep warm anything, which makes feeding Bruno much easier.

Currently, we have the feeling that Bruno is getting new teeth. He bites a lot on his hands and drools a lot.

We're excited to see what leap Bruno will make next. But he is also welcome to take a break and test out his new skills calmly.

We are very, very proud of our son and let him explore the world as independently as possible.
