From now on there will only be posts from me (Steffi). The rest of the tour is back in good old Hamburg.
Yesterday morning I accompanied her to the airport. Since Cindy reserved a wheelchair, everyone was like a VIP again and I couldn't say goodbye as fast as they drove away.
After that I went back to the campsite and spent the day constantly stalking exactly where the plane was, tidying up, rearranging and cleaning.
It's very strange to be traveling alone now. I think it will take me a few more days to get used to it.
That's why I set out today to see a little bit of Madrid. Only went to the metro about 15 minutes at over 30 degrees at 10 o'clock. The first thing I wanted to do in the city was look at the cathedral, then the royal palace which is directly opposite! It's just stupid if you go in the wrong direction, notice it two stations later at the final stop, jump out and then check, the train continues here in the right direction but the doors are already closed. That's a good start🤣🤣🤣 where is my guide Cindy ?!
But a little later I managed to do everything and we looked at almost all the sights, including sitting in the hop on, hop off bus at some point. I walked sooooo much and it was so warm. It was over 40 degrees at lunchtime and I couldn't drink as much as I was sweating! Late in the afternoon (6 p.m.) I booked a special highlight. Stadium tour and museum visit to Atlético Madrid (Real is currently being renovated and cannot be visited, great). Great stadium, great museum, I liked everything very much.
But I don't know if I'll become an Atlético fan in the future... let's see which stadiums I'll see.
At some point I arrived back at the WoMo completely exhausted. Rest a bit and tomorrow we'll continue to Valencia, finally back to the coast and it's supposed to be a bit colder, only around 28 degrees.
I'm sooooo glad we had the air conditioning retrofitted, otherwise I would have suffocated in here once in a while😋
Conclusion about Madrid: very nice city, has a lot to offer, didn't find it that crowded, good weather, would love to come back sometime
