We treated ourselves to a beach day today and drove 45 minutes along the coast to a great beach. The drive there was through an impressive landscape. We had chosen Kahekili Beach beforehand because you can snorkel there well due to the few waves. From the point where you couldn't stand anymore, the coral reefs started right away. I saw big colorful fish and a great underwater world. Even a moray eel looked out of a small cave! It was about the size of a forearm, so it wasn't exactly small. During the second snorkeling trip, we saw the majesty of the seas: a turtle 🐢 It drifted casually through the water and briefly held its head above water. Mick and Martin touched it gently. After a while, everyone went their separate ways. Mick saw an octopus 🐙 hanging on the forearm of another snorkeler. Sitting on the beach, we dreamily watched the water for a while. Suddenly, we saw dolphins 🐬 not more than 100 meters away. Probably 20 or even more. They jumped out of the water and some did several somersaults in their jump. You could really see how much fun they had! And us from watching 🙂
