Chapter 9.1 - Final Stop: Hanoi

I woke up. First, I'll have breakfast, then pack my backpack and relax for a bit. I'll be picked up at the hotel at 1:30pm. Then we're off to Hanoi. I still need to book my room. Ha Long was pretty cool in retrospect. I liked it once I found the good spots. See you soon, Ha Long, I'll be back ;)

2:02pm

The limousine finally arrived. It was all a bit confusing. I learned from this: Just book the bus directly at the hotel or homestay. Even if you communicate in Vietnamese with the booking manager, it doesn't matter what you want because you're just a stupid tourist. The main thing is to pay for things and everything else will be taken care of.

Well, now I have a 2-hour drive to Hanoi. Room is booked. I've already contacted the owners.

At least the limousine is really luxurious. The seats are bigger than on a plane. But I still think 350k is too much.

4:58pm

I'm at my last homestay in Vietnam. I think this accommodation is the most adventurous so far. You need a password to enter through the main entrance. The entrance door opens automatically with the right pass. To the right of the entrance, there are small 4-digit safes. I also have to enter this pin to get my room key. I feel a bit like Harry Potter right now. When the day starts tomorrow, I'll take some photos. There's a balcony, I have air conditioning, my own kitchen, and you can even go to the roof. There's even a washing machine. But I'm still not really trusting it.

Yesterday, I just chilled in the room. I ordered food and eventually fell asleep. And totally forgot to update the blog :D
