Day 24
The bed was so comfortable, we didn't want to get up.
But today our new camper has to be picked up. So get out of bed. The drill is already roaring in the neighboring room. Time to break up.
Outside it's cold and uncomfortable.
The camper station is a 20-minute drive from the hotel. Right through Adelaide's rush hour at 9:30 am. Everything starts a little later here. The stores, for example, open between 9:00 and 10:00 am and close no later than 5:30 pm.
There it was, our little chariot. We got an upgrade to an automatic vehicle. Cheapa only had manual cars available, so we got a nearly new camper from Apollo. No dents or stains, everything clean. A dream. This time we were already experienced with accepting campers and only needed 30 minutes. The only thing we couldn't check was the oil level. We both looked for the dipstick and didn't find it in the manageable engine compartment. Apparently, this Toyota doesn't need oil.
Our new home is cute. And it has the blinker on the right again. It's a good thing it's raining today, so it's not obvious when you accidentally activate the windshield wipers instead of the blinkers.
After an extensive shopping tour at Aldi,
we continue to McLaren Vale, to the local wine regions.
Everything is different here in the south. The weather is bad and cold, the cities are big, the highways are 2 or 3 lanes, there are Aldi and huge shopping malls and traffic jams on the roads.
Now we have cleared 2 hours to get everything under the camper (clothes, bags, groceries, and ourselves) and now we lie full (today we didn't have BBQ, because ravioli doesn't taste good from the grill) on a slightly better padded board.
Hopefully the rain will stop tomorrow.
....... and hopefully I won't have to go to the bathroom tonight.
