Yesterday was Friday and organization day, because in Romania there is also a weekend, not for everyone, but probably for the BMW employees. So after breakfast we went straight to Burt and Munro in the workshop. Like everywhere in Romania, the people here are very friendly and helpful. One of the employees spoke German very well, which made communication much easier. After I told him that I wouldn't have a problem with Monday because of my foot, I heard the stones drop. They probably thought we wanted to continue right away, but we can also be realistic. And everyone can live well with Monday. My helmet gets a new part paint, because the white lichen on a black background looks shitty. We got coffee, tea and an X3 - why not. Then we went to the doctor. Here too, everyone is very friendly, you almost get treated in the waiting room. We were seen very quickly, maybe we also have the tourist bonus. We paid 75Lei for the treatment and 30Lei for the X-ray, which corresponds to a total of 22.13€ - I love Romania. As far as I understood the fast English-speaking doctor, nothing is broken, some tearing in the ankle. He recommended 3 weeks of rest and no weight bearing, possibly crutches, Ibu, cold, well everything we pseudo-doctors already know. ;-) The plan is to listen to internet radio, read and drink beer (cools from the inside and can't harm) with my leg elevated and well cooled from now until Monday. Susi plays nurse (not like you think, Dirk T. ;-) ) and takes care of shopping, etc. So the next few days will be very boring, especially for me, and Bucharest doesn't have anything exciting either that would be worth it - who wants to go to Bucharest?
The hope for a drivable Munro and a swollen foot on Monday keeps us going. See you on Monday, have a nice weekend.
