After only about 3 hours of sleep, we let ourselves be woken up. We didn't want to miss the famous sunrise at Angkor Wat, of course. Mr. Sonar was already waiting with two breakfast baskets to go for us. The guesthouse is really great! When we arrived at Angkor Wat, we quickly realized that we weren't the only ones with this idea. Our early wake-up call was rewarded, despite the unfortunately cloudy sky. We spent two hours there and watched the spectacle. It's really highly recommended to set your alarm if you ever happen to be on location. Afterwards, we explored the temple complex and stopped here and there with Mr. Sonar to see all the other temples, including the famous one from the movie Tomb Raider, 'Ta Prohm', which we didn't manage to visit on our tour yesterday. It's truly remarkable and despite many tourists, you still get the feeling that there's so much more to discover in the huge complexes than was discovered many years ago. In the evening, we spent some time exploring the city a bit more. Of course, including a night market. Pure joy was written all over Christian's face 😂 He was compensated with a foot massage 😉 At the 'Khaosanroad' of Siem Reap, the 'Pubstreet', we ended the evening with different, and above all, loud music and delicious food, and then made our way back home. Christian also had the feeling that he was getting sick, and when we arrived at the guesthouse, he was already running a fever. Tomorrow morning, we're actually supposed to head towards Sihanoukville and from there take a speedboat to the island of Koh Rong Sanloem.
