After a long, restful night, Sydney awaits me with radiant sunshine - not as warm - 17 degrees - but still very pleasant in the sun.
After a hearty breakfast, a walk, and a detour through the streets of 'The Rock', I spontaneously take a boat for a more than 2-hour harbor tour at the railway station.
But before that, I have another encounter of a different kind... :-)
Besides the opera and the Harbour Bridge from the water, there are also all sorts of beautiful estates to admire. The boat also stops at the zoo - from the entrance, a gondola leads away over the zoo, although it is only on a tiny hill. For someone from the country of 'Hermann Maier' and 'Franz Klammer', it's a strange sight.
Afterwards, I go around the wharf and finally find a nice table in the sun with a view of the Harbour Bridge. 'Seeing and being seen' is the order of the day on the promenade right in front of my eyes - as it leads to the opera.
Even as the sun sets, the atmosphere is beautiful and special. But eventually it gets a bit chilly. I head towards the hotel and end the evening with a good meal at the Japanese restaurant and a glass of red wine in the roof top bar of my hotel.
