Even on the last morning, I am 'woken up' by sun rays. The view from the window is always breathtaking - a cruise ship has docked in the harbor again at night.
After managing to demolish my sunglasses on the first day and yesterday being a public holiday, I first need an optician. I cross a few streets until I finally find one...
For 5 Australian pounds, not only is my glasses fixed, but I also get an excellent espresso and a very interesting conversation with the junior boss about some Australian peculiarities :-)
After that, unfortunately, I have to dedicate myself to my MBA tasks today and spend the rest of the day learning...
But in the evening, Evita is on the program at the Open in Sydney. I walk slowly to the opera house, not without getting something nice to eat...
What a beautiful waterfront promenade
The inside of the opera house is not half as impressive as the outside - at least in my opinion. Nevertheless, there are some interesting architectural details to admire. The hall is relatively small (there are plenty of them), but very beautiful and the acoustics are really, really good.
When I come out of the performance, the opera house and everything around is beautifully illuminated - like in a fairytale...
After the performance (which was not bad ;-)), I treat myself to a few 'nightcaps' at 'Bellelong', the well-known place/bar/restaurant right at the Open in Sydney in good company....
Tomorrow I'm going to Adelaide - let's see what awaits me there.
Sydney was definitely worth a trip - I think I will come back someday... :-)
