Today, I have to disappoint my esteemed readers a little: There is basically nothing to report today. We have been driving all day and we saw a lot of this here
this here
and this here
but mainly hedges on the right and left. In Middle England, driving is not comparable to Scotland. There seems to be only giant roads or tiny roads and on both you see very little of the landscape. On the giant roads, because you have to concentrate on the traffic and on the tiny roads, because there are hedges on the right and left that obstruct the view. But the weather is still favorable to us, as you can see!
However, we arrived safely at our today's campsite near the Harry Potter Studios in Watford/London and tomorrow afternoon we will take the pre-booked tour there. For Grandma, it will be a quiet day, because she doesn't want to go to the studios. She has charged her Kindle and prefers to read a few hours.
In order not to rust completely after the long drive, we decided to take a little walk this late afternoon. There is a sports airfield nearby the campsite, which we found quite interesting. Someone was just learning to fly a helicopter and either the student was hopelessly untalented or flying a helicopter is really not easy. We were not so sure if the airfield would survive the flying lessons intact!
A few planes also took off and landed, sometimes flying so close to the adjacent road that we wondered if it would be advisable to drive a motorhome there. You could have an involuntary piece of luggage on the roof if you drive by at the wrong moment!
In the evening, we were treated to another excellent meal by our chef Valentina. There was red cabbage, Nuremberg sausages, and potatoes. Delicious!
