Wellness under the Matterhorn

What a beautiful hotel! A small swimming pool, saunas with a separate relaxation area and waterbed, whirlpool, a foot bubble bath...

After a very delicious breakfast, we hike up the valley, past a (neither large nor beautiful) golf course and onto the alpine meadows. Many smaller and larger streams and waterfalls, the sound of cowbells, pure idyll!

Opposite the small chapel, the path to which was recommended to us by the hotel porter, is a serviced hut where we can have a drink and enjoy the sun, the view of the mountain peaks, alpine meadows and also the gondolas and ski lifts, protected from the wind by the house wall.

We hike back down to the village through the alpine meadows in serpentine paths, where a parade of vintage cars has just gathered. We stroll around and admire the sparkling clean vehicles, sit down on the terrace of a small café and enjoy the atmosphere.

Back at the hotel, we try to plan the approximate route home. We still have four days available and in the mountains the paths are sometimes detours 😉

Then it's off to the wellness area, splashing, swimming, relaxing.
