First week of work

We survived the first week of work.

We have familiarized ourselves with the everyday life at the kindergarten for the first time.

When we arrive at the kindergarten, the children sing together with the educators. Afterwards, the kids have porridge for breakfast.

Then the respective children go to their group where they learn different things with the educator, such as the weekdays, months, seasons.. The kids are allowed to play with Lego, dolls or dress-up clothes. They also do various crafts such as ladybugs made out of paper plates and finger paint, they get to know different reptiles and create posters with colored pictures of the animals. Since playing is so exhausting, there is another food break :). The kids eat their packed lunch during this time. If the weather is good, we take the kids to the courtyard and/or the backyard where there is a playground.

After lunch, the kids take a nap and we are picked up by our driver.

We often go to the beach cafe for lunch.

On Thursday evening, which is today, we went with the organization to a township to a restaurant called Mzansi. There, we had an African buffet and there was also entertainment from an African band.
