5:30, turned on Komoot, let's go to St. Mark's Square. Walking through the alleys is nice. A bit different way to experience Venice. All the garbage is disposed of and loaded onto boats. And everything has to be transported and disposed of in this way. Besides, the alleys are swept. Surprisingly, everyone uses this kind of witch broom. I haven't seen normal brooms. It was very pleasant to be out so early. Few people in this extraordinary city. The sun βοΈ showed itself at 6:00 and it was ideal for taking photos. When I started feeling hungry, I went back. The breakfast at the hotel was good and I took my time. Unfortunately, all the seats in the garden were taken. But at least I could still enjoy coffee and a piece of cake outside. Tomorrow I won't be able to do that anymore because my train leaves at 7:20. Saw the offer of a boat tour this morning, visiting three islands. Okay, I'll do that. I thought I could avoid the crowds that way. The tour started at 10:00 at the train station. Number 1 was the island of Murano, which is known for its glassblowing. Small island and lots of glassblowing workshops. We had a guided tour where an old pro quickly conjured up a little glass horse. Of course, you could also buy products. Oh well, I thought to myself. So, I booked something like a boat coffee cruise π. Next stop was the island of Torcello. There was a church and a museum to visit. I just sat in the shade and let it all sink in. Because the thought of escaping from people a bit with this tour was a misconception. Finally, we stopped at the island of Burano. It is mainly known for its many colorful houses. Each house has a color and it can never be changed. I liked that, it was just nice to look at. Afterwards, it took us over 1 hour to get back. I quickly went to a grocery store to get a salad and water. Ate and then it was time for a siesta.
