About 25 km from the campsite is the capital of the island, Pag.
On the way there, we passed by Zrće Beach, the "Ballermann of Croatia", so we had to go take a look. The beach is located in the bay that stretches all the way to Pag. From June to August, it's party time here. Now in the off-season, it's quiet and you can only imagine what goes on here in the summer. Luckily, because the rest of the island is probably blasted with music for 3 months from here!
On the way back to the parking lot, a little sharp stone (or was it a small shard of glass?) jumped into my sandal, I stepped on it hard and only saw blood afterwards 🙄. Typical!! A tiny crack on the heel can be really nasty. Luckily, I had a first aid kit in the car. With some band-aids and lots of tape, we could continue to Pag.
A nice little town! After an ice cream and a short walk around the city, we headed back.
Just before Novalja, we followed the signs to the right out of curiosity and found a nice beach in the bay, south of the party beach. The water here is also very clean and calm. After the somewhat adventurous drive, we didn't expect to find something so beautiful here!
However, our campsite beach is much nicer... 😉
