Today we're staying with Robert and his wife Kung. The two of them are on Warmshowers and spontaneously invited us when we asked them for help with our Garmin.
It was a really nice evening with very delicious food.
Kung spoiled us with Thai pumpkin and fried, freshly caught fish from their own pond.
Also, Patrick and Robert finally solved the problem with the Garmin after what felt like 4 hours of searching.
Great.
A little distance away, Bill from England lives.
We contacted him through Couchsurfing.
He even cooked vegan for us in the evening. Other than that, he was very busy but that was fine with us...
Tuesday 31.10. - 3.11
CHIANG MAI
Now we're right in the center and have a nice little guesthouse (Happy House) for 6 Euros per night.
On Tuesday, we immediately went to Stuard (US) and Mong (his wife) at the bicycle shop to mount our new cassettes and chains.
Furthermore, Patrick and Stu solved all the other little problems.
After 6 hours!!! of hard work, we enjoy a beer and delicious Japanese food together.
Other:
- Visit temples (one is like the other) with Mark whom we met in Penang
- Delicious breakfast at a small bakery
- Wander around aimlessly with Xaver (an American Indian who also lives in the hostel)
- Bike tour (with Stue and Jove, another cyclist)
- Ate the world's most disgusting soup
- LOY KRATHONG!
