Lulea 30.January-9.February 2022

After a peaceful flight, we arrive in the beautifully snowy Lulea in the evening. We quickly pick up our rental car, which is right at the airport, and do the shopping for the next few days at Coop. After some initial difficulties operating our great car, we quickly reach our cottage. What a dream, a typical Swedish cottage with a separate sauna, right by the sea in a secluded bay. Kurt starts the wood-burning fireplace, which provides an additional cozy warmth. We eat, play cards, and occasionally glance outside! How lucky we are, with beautiful Northern Lights above our house, above the sea, simply a dream. In the morning, we take a drive to Storforsen (a beautifully frozen river) in the most beautiful, very cold winter weather, and return to Lulea via Arvidsjauer. It's a fantastic drive with amazing light shows, and especially, we already spot the first two moose.
