During the night, we made short stops in Ålesund, Torvik, and Måløy. In the morning, we reached Florø, our last stop before Bergen. Florø is the westernmost city in Norway. It is located on the coast of the Vestland county and has approximately 9,000 inhabitants. The Stabben Lighthouse is uniquely situated in the middle of shipping routes, right in front of Florø. The lighthouse completely covers the rock on which it is built and is a remarkable attraction in itself. From its construction year in 1867 until 1975, the lighthouse housed the lighthouse keeper and his family. Surely, it was not easy to live on a rock in the middle of the sea. Where did the children play? For those who want to experience something completely new, it is possible to stay overnight in the lighthouse. There are 2 beds and additional sleeping options on the floor. The kitchen, living room, and toilets are kept in a simple style. We will arrive happily in Bergen at 3 p.m. From there, we will take a flight to Oslo, from where we will return to Switzerland on December 31.
