After spending two days at home for Christmas, we headed to Cape Town. We drove for 20 hours with 20 people in two minibuses.
When we arrived, we were really impressed. The hostel was really cute, with a pool, delicious breakfast, and in a pretty central location. It was quite a contrast to go from the wilderness to such a big city. But we enjoyed all the benefits, saw many things, slept little, and even did some sports.
We went to the 'southernmost point' of Africa:
We went to a penguin beach:
We hiked up Table Mountain and Lion's Head. It was really exhausting to climb the mountain for 2 1/2 hours, more like climbing than walking, but it felt really good.
We also celebrated New Year's Eve in a big group there and just enjoyed it.
