Today was all about action. After a great breakfast, we went to the Yell Extreme Park above Idjevan.
The journey was difficult as the last three kilometers consisted of a steep gravel road. It was a total material massacre, but we're used to it by now.
In the Yell Extreme Park, the four of us tried ziplining for the first time in our lives. You are securely strapped into a harness system that runs on a steel cable suspended over a gorge. No idea how deep the various abysses were, maybe a few hundred meters?
We treated ourselves to three different canyon crossings, the longest one being 375m long. We were a bit nervous before the first one, but since we were already there, we had to do it. The next two were no problem anymore, it was all about enjoying the experience and refining our technique... Definitely a fantastic experience.
On the way back, we went to Qari Lake, a small mountain lake. Suddenly, without any warning, the engine died and wouldn't start again. I rolled back to a less steep spot and managed to start it by rolling backwards. Then it ran smoothly again. No idea what happened, if it were a Trabant, we would blame it on fluff in front of the carburetor. Maybe there was really a crumb in the diesel line. After that, it ran properly again, so hands off. Definitely gonna mark it with a marker on the sidewall.
In the late afternoon, we returned to the hotel and had a nice evening there.
For dinner, we had wine, juice, and schnapps, all homemade by the hoteliers. Very delicious 😋.
