Thursday 26 July to Friday 27 July 2018 / Fabian
Of course, we also visited the Sinful Mile - the Reeperbahn! Many bars, pubs, and strip clubs alternate with erotic markets and souvenir shops.
Originally the red-light district, the street or district of St. Pauli has developed into an entertainment mile.
Next to a fairground with a funfair, we indulged ourselves at a street food festival with numerous food trucks! And finally, affordable beer was available again!!! 🍺 ❤️
Unfortunately, there wasn't much going on on Thursday evening, but maybe it was for the better. Many junkies, punks, and other strange people also "live" on the Reeperbahn. In general, there are many collectors of bottle deposits and beggars throughout Hamburg.
We found out how messed up our world really is at the bizarre erotic shop. HEAVEN! We're not prudes, but we were a little shocked when we left the DVD section and dedicated ourselves to the latex and leather scene. I can't go into details now, our parents are reading too 😉 In any case, very interesting! They say that traveling broadens the mind, regardless of the direction 😅.
Directly next to St. Pauli is the left-leaning Schanzenviertel. Small alternative cafes invite you to linger.
The traces of the G20 skirmishes are still visible in some places. (After last year's G20 summit in Hamburg, left-wing extremists and the police engaged in street battles, especially in the mentioned district.)
Anyway, we still found it beautiful, and after a little capitalization-communism training for Gianna, we continued to the St. Pauli fan shop where I treated myself to an obligatory shirt 🤟🏽
Afterwards, we stayed overnight at a service area in Hanover and then started our journey back home on Saturday!
Now our vacation is already over, and the dreary everyday life is calling.☹️
HA! You think so! We haven't had enough yet, and our hunger for adventure has just been awakened! 🗺🏜🌋
So stay tuned if you want to know how we like it in Indonesia, Australia, Fiji, Peru, and Brazil!
We will continue on August 19th to Singapore 🇸🇬 and Bali 🏝.
Until then, I wish you a happy work 😜👍
