The first sight of the day isn't a beach with cool sand and deadly sneaker waves (don't worry, no one has a sneak peek from the sea).
Because you don't have to take a long drive before your trip, especially in the very east of Iceland to Hengifoss, where you can get there in 32 minutes (it's a 2-hour hike (wanna see some real Swiss speed!)). Of course, good Disney and musical music means that we don't just send a quick greeting, but rather a very good one and a safe one.
I spent the night next to Robert's aunt's village, in the 100-nose village directly on the coast.
Shortly after 10 minutes, Robert storms into the sky and realizes that it's the Polar Lichen and actually: it only shatters a little and it's harder to see the white-green stripe in the sky! Polar lights!!
At half past 12 o'clock I send a little way away from the village (where the light sounds so strong) and then the mail is really delivered. The polar lights are dancing across the sky and for that, at the beginning of September, they are sending a strong signal. The color isn't as intense as on the Fötteli, but rather gray with a green tinge (somewhat very strong, it even sends pink!!).
Polar Liechter sends it absolutely 10/10 and has been on my bucket list for sooo long, what luck in my hands, now Polar Liechter is beautiful to see!!
