New Yorker meeting point descriptions can be a bit confusing. That's how it was for us on our second day when we were looking for Mrs. Burmester, who had left earlier to buy our tickets for our city tour of New York.
We then took the bus through downtown, midtown, and uptown, and saw many famous sights there. For example, Times Square, Central Park, One World Trade Center, St. Patrick's Cathedral, and China Town.
In the evening, we all went to an Irish pub together and enjoyed a delicious and hearty dinner there.
However, we were all incredibly tired afterwards, partly due to the jet lag that most of us still had, so we wanted to go to bed as soon as possible and some of us even fell asleep on the subway to the hostel. On the other hand, New York is indeed the city that never sleeps, with its businesses that are open around the clock, the traffic, and the masses of people that flow through the streets of New York every day.
The second day in New York started with trouble finding our teacher Mrs. Burmester, who left earlier than the rest of our group to get tickets for our hop-on/hop-off bus tour through New York City. Well, New York can be very confusing. ;)
We spent the day on the bus and saw downtown, midtown, and uptown. That includes China Town, St. Patrick's Cathedral, Central Park, apartments owned by famous people such as Lady Gaga (we, of course, only saw them from the outside), One World Trade Center, and Times Square...
In the evening, we all had dinner at an Irish pub, which was really tasty!
