It was nice to travel together again. It's more fun with two.
We spent the first few days in Paris. We explored a lot and took advantage of free admission to many museums/attractions as well, as in France people under 25 can enter for free.
We also went to Versailles for a day, where we explored the palace and gardens. It was fascinating to see how the kings used to live. Do they really need such a big garden? :)
After some stressful days in Paris, we continued to Orleans. Maybe known to some as Joan of Arc's city. There we relaxed and enjoyed ourselves.
After our days there, we moved on to Angers. Another small, charming city. We stumbled upon a festival on Saturday. It had electronic music with lots of people dancing, from young to old. It was pretty cool.
After this eventful evening, we headed to our final destination, La Rochelle. This small town on the Atlantic coast is home to the largest marina on the coast. One day, we visited the aquarium there, which is supposed to be the largest in Europe, but it didn't feel that big to us. After a wonderful time there, we returned to Germany on Thursday.
Thank you all for reading and supporting me during my short 10 months in France.
Yours, Uli
