In line with the motto: 'The early bird catches the worm', we enjoy the morning atmosphere during an early ride. We approach Christchurch, but turn onto a smaller road that leads to Banks Peninsula. It's a battle against the wind, which tries to push our Jucy off the road, but Thomas remains calm. The area becomes more deserted and, as usual, there is no reception. We pass a mountain pass and enjoy a fantastic view of an arm of the sea. Countless curves later, we arrive at Okains Bay.
There is a huge campground in a bay. We find a great spot in the wind-protected forest, a few meters away from the sea.
Since we haven't been able to swim in the ocean on the South Island yet, we now enjoy jumping in the waves even more.
