Mr. T is now taking us to the border and we will stay in Zimbabwe for two nights to see the Victoria Falls!
The Victoria Falls, which have been a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1989, are the widest waterfall on Earth and are located between the border towns of Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe and Livingstone in Zambia.
The Zambezi River carries a lot of water at this time of year, and the spray clouds produced by the waterfall, from which it gets its African name ("Mosi-oa-Tunya" - thundering smoke), produce a lot of rain - we get soaking wet and often can only watch in awe, but can't take photos, too much rain!
From the railway bridge connecting Zimbabwe and Zambia, you have a dry and breathtaking view - that was once again a spectacular experience!
We are completely overwhelmed by this force of nature and spend the rest of the day relaxing in our beautiful lodge,
and exploring the small town of Victoria Falls.
In the end, two nights are far too short for a conclusion. Unfortunately, this was a very short stay in beautiful Zimbabwe, but when we come back to explore the rest of Botswana, Zimbabwe and Zambia must not be missed! Africa, we will come back soon..
