Australia - WestCoastTrip: Day 2

E hatisitsoe: 16.07.2019

After a short drive, we reach Kalbarri National Park, where we wander around the diverse landscape, including the Murchison Gorge, the Loop Walk, and Nature's Window. After a steep descent into Z-Bend Gorge, we take a break by the river. After lunch, we make a stop in Carnarvon. The fascinating stromatolites in Hamelin Pool await us. This marine rock formation is the oldest and largest living fossil in the world. There are only two places in the world where these rare organisms occur, and Hamelin Pool is considered the most diverse and best example. Afterwards, we visit the beautiful Shell Beach, one of the only two beaches in the world that are made entirely of shells. Then we head towards Denham and Shark Bay, where we spend the night.
