February 1st: How quickly February has come and how quickly I find myself in a completely different environment. Life is very diverse, Thailand has many faces.

The departure from Koh Phayam has touched me deeply. I have realized how open-hearted we humans were and how beautiful the encounters were - hardly accidental. I thank you all for sharing! ...tears of sad joy come to me when I think of you!

Our almost loyal companions, whom we have already met on Koh Libong, have moved on a day before us, and in silence we hope to meet them again here in Bangkok (in the meantime, they have seen wild elephants in Khao Sok National Park!!!). The encounter with them has opened a door for Sebastian. After the two little ones trusted him, he joyfully turned to other little ones as well, and I think he already had a bit of a 'child uncle' in him.

Fortunately, there were also many Swiss people there, which makes it much easier to see each other again later. A family - unfortunately, they decided to come to Koh Phayam only on our last evening - lives near Othmarsingen. Those are promising prospects. Since this family includes two slightly older children, it was the perfect addition to the many younger children. Our children (especially the boys...) have really blossomed and I haven't seen them so carefree TOGETHER!!!! for a long time. A wonderful gift and a wonderful ending. Okay, not all other guests were immediately delighted with the night bath in the bioluminescent sea (when you move, the sea glows), but I imagine that our kids will remember it as unforgettable! No, unfortunately I don't have a photo of that ;-).

The journey by night bus to Bangkok was very comfortable.

'Fortunately', I couldn't sleep very well (which is due to my emotional state, not the bus), because when traveling awake, it's easier for me to arrive at the new place. I cope better then. And the change from the dream island to the smoggy city is quite something... Also, our hotel room doesn't look quite the same as in the picture (at least there was a window), and we might move again here.

In these days in Bangkok, we are completing last errands, hoping to meet one or the other family again, and diving into a food street one last time. Then we will be back home soon. Please save some 'Schüümli' snow until then, it will make coming home joyful for sure!
