Day 20, Aix en Provence, Sausset-les-Pins

E hatisitsoe: 17.11.2019

Today we start very early to go to the markets of Aix en Provence. Vegetables, meat, fish, fruit, pasta, bread. Everything looks so incredibly delicious and fresh. For breakfast, we have an ice cream cone filled with mini salami in different flavors. We continue through the maze of vendors, tourists, and locals until we finally experience a real market crier. 'Raviolo, Angela, good evening, Pizza ici.' Of course, we have to try something here. Ravioli made from pizza dough, filled with ricotta, spinach, and egg yolk, accompanied by tomato sauce and it was just delicious. On our tour of the city, we also discovered a market for clothing, handicrafts, and antiques. Last stop in Aix: Mini fair with claw machines!

After that, we threw all plans overboard and drove back to the sea in fabulous sunshine (where else). Without a specific destination, we drove through beautiful landscapes. At the first port we passed, we chose a hotel. It was clear as soon as we arrived in the parking lot: our decision was absolutely right. Sun, sea, beach, what more do you need? A hotel with billiards, kicker, and a good bar? We have it. Beautiful rooms with a view and a delicious restaurant? We have that too. The time here is perfect. As soon as we arrived, a food truck was in front of us, so it was 4:00 p.m., time for an aperitif.

A rose, Cote de Provence, in plastic cups by the sea, along with French fries, could it get any better? Yes, definitely! Kevi takes off his shoes and walks with me through the Mediterranean water. Because our hotel is so beautiful, with kicker and billiards, and the restaurant is really delicious, we feel very comfortable here. We even made French friends.
