We spent the Easter weekend at an estancia near Buenos Aires and we drove there in our new, big car where all the kids can sit comfortably and the wheelchair fits too :). Since there are no Easter holidays here, we thought of doing something that is not too far away. It was really great there, but one day or just one night would have been enough because by the second day we already felt like in the movie 'Groundhog Day', as the food and the shows were completely the same with minimal variations. There was a mountain of meat and fries for lunch and something like ravioli for dinner, but always the same. Also, dinner was not until 9, which was pretty late for the kids.
That's why we also went to San Antonio de Areco for a day and had a meal there and did something different.
Otherwise, the kids had a lot of fun horseback riding and the shows were great, but you don't want to see the same ones every day :)
Unfortunately, no one told us when we booked that every day is dia del campo right now, as the estancias want to make up for lost money, but it would have been great to have lunch in the main house instead of the hall with the dances and music, where it was quieter... also, since we were practically the only foreigners, except for 2 Japanese and 2 Uruguayans, we had to learn to dance tango in front of the stage. That was fun, but it's enough to do it once and not every day: 'Ah, the Germans are dancing...'
But you never stop learning and we still saw and did a lot, as you can see in the pictures...
And if we ever go to an estancia again, then only for one day or at most with one night :)
