After a restful sleep, our 4th ski day began with breakfast and then a punctual start at 8:30 up to the Axamer Lizum ski area. After a brisk warm-up, half of us practiced carving and the others worked on their ski routines. At lunchtime, our whole group met at the Sonnenalm to fill their bellies and rest after this successful morning. Thanks to the fabulous view and radiant sun, the food was even more enjoyable. A very popular lunch was the Germknödel with poppy seeds and vanilla sauce.
Afterwards, the performance checks for carving were conducted and the ski routine groups were given some time to practice.
These students had a lot to laugh about due to their numerous fails. Despite many falls, it was a wonderful collaboration. From three o'clock onwards, the finished routines were filmed to be evaluated later by the teachers. Some skied to the music "Ein Stern, der deinen Namen trägt", while others rehearsed their choreography according to the song "The James Bond Theme".
After this very fun day, everyone got on the bus to start the hotel journey back. The mood lifted due to the typical ski and party songs.
For the last dinner, delicious cheese spätzle were prepared for the "Vulcans" (according to Mr. Weichard: the vegetarians) and many Wiener Schnitzel with potatoes. The second-to-last ski camp day ended with card games and quiet conversations.
Goodbye Thursday, hello Friday.
