Goðafoss and Myvatn Lava Fields

'Isn't it beautiful here, isn't it?' an elderly man with bright blue eyes exposed us as tourists, completely amazed photographing the Goðafoss waterfall.

An Icelander who is just visiting his brother in the village tells us the legend of the beautiful waterfall.

The Godi (priest) is said to have thrown the last pagan images into the Goðafoss waterfall after the adoption of Christianity as the state religion. That is said to be how the waterfall got its name (waterfall of the gods).

That a man who has grown up in and has spent his entire long life in beautiful Iceland is still so fascinated by the country's nature is the greatest proof that the country is simply magical.
