What exactly is a “home”? For me it's not a single place, like Hamburg for example. For me it's a feeling. A feeling of inner peace, of having arrived and of happiness. And that's exactly the feeling I've had in Bangkok since my semester abroad in 2019. I feel comfortable, safe, somehow at home and just good.
Before the trip I often wondered what it would be like with Kian. After all, Bangkok is loud, stuffy, it doesn't smell particularly good, it's damn hot, dirty and in many places it's crowded.
Admittedly, it's not the best place for babies. But once again we are so lucky with Kian. He sleeps so well in the stroller that we always time it so that he sleeps on the paths, then he doesn't notice as much of the crowds, the exhaust fumes and so on. By the way, driving a stroller is a challenge here. But Siar handles it very well (see photo)
Today we took the subway in the Siam district. We then ate at CocoIchibanya in the Siam Paragon. This has been a tradition for Siar and me since 2016. Of course there was a Cinnabon for dessert.
By the way, I wanted to try out the changing rooms in Bangkok today after I liked them so much in Singapore. Well, what can I say?
A cockroach came towards me right at the door 😂 I left it and changed him somewhere else 😂. Welcome to Thailand 🪳
Otherwise not much happened here today - we rested a bit and just enjoyed the hustle and bustle of the city.
Ah, Kian's diapers are empty 😂 now we bought local ones for the first time. Let's see what they're like 😃 to be continued.
