26/04 Daintree National Park 🇳🇿

Today we went to Mossman Gorge National Park and explored the rainforest. There we saw a black snake.

Afterwards, we took a boat tour on a river. The largest crocodile we spotted was 4.5 meters long.

Then we crossed the river with our car on a ferry and drove deeper into the rainforest. The forests became denser, the cell phone reception decreased. In the deepest jungle, we finally spent the night in a tent with a bed 😅

Before going to sleep, we went on a guided 2-hour night walk and saw many animals (see pictures). We also saw a scorpion. Our guide told us a lot about plants and animals. At first, it was a bit eerie.

Despite the many animal noises, we were able to sleep very well in the jungle. Probably because the day was very exhausting. However, in the middle of the night, something big sneaked around our tent and woke us up. We don't know what it was, but it sounded very large.....
