The planning begins

The idea was stored in the back of my brain, to do something crazy with the motorcycle.

But I always knew that being alone is not my thing.

And so the years passed and now at 60 I have to hurry, because old men are not trusted to do such things anymore.

I always say that my future is much shorter than my past. For about 2 years now I have been a member of the motorcycle brotherhood Schutterwald, a motorcycle club.

We are all not quite young anymore, but people who enjoy riding motorcycles and no longer need to prove anything. We all ride pretty heavy machines. I myself have a Suzuki Intruder 1500, a Black Trude.

And in this old bunch I found him, my partner for such a tour, Markus, he rides a Victory Hardball, a bit younger so that he can benefit from my experience, or I can benefit from his agility that I am slowly losing. So one day I threw the topic into the room, 'Man, I would love to do a tour to the North Cape with the motorcycle' the reaction was better than hoped for, you could see it immediately in their eyes, I hit the nail on the head.

I explained my idea.

Together with the motorcycles and our wives who will accompany us in a motorhome, we will drive to the North Cape. The idea was born.

Now we just had to tell the women.

But we are lucky guys, that's all that needs to be said.

And so it can begin, at least with the planning.
