Today we leave San Francisco and make our way to Yosemite Park with our rental car. We quickly got used to the traffic conditions and the driving style of the Americans and were able to leave the chaotic city via the Bay Bridge.
During the 5-hour drive, we enjoyed the view of California's diverse landscape. At first, it was rather flat and dry, but after a few hours, we were soon driving through the endless forests and the winding mountain landscape of Yosemite National Park.
Just before our destination, we made a stop at the famous "Tunnel View" which offered a unique view of Yosemite Valley. But see for yourself...
It's simply beautiful to enjoy a sunset with such a panorama. Okay, many others had the same idea. The countless hobby photographers also tried to capture the scenery with their (sometimes highly professional) cameras.
Satisfied, we now set off on the final leg of our journey. After a few minutes, we reached our home for the next 3 days. A small but cozy apartment at Yosemite West Lodge.
Since we have hardly any cell phone reception and WiFi up here, it may take a bit longer for you to hear from us, but this way we can relax and enjoy the beautiful nature. :-)
