Koh Lanta

Hello,

today we can tell you about our stay on the island of Koh Lanta. As soon as we got off the bus, we booked a scooter for the next two days and made our way to our accommodation 7 km away. This time it was a bungalow with a roof made of palm leaves near the beach for only 7.50 euros per night ;) The next morning, after an English breakfast, we set off early on an exploratory trip. We were able to visit the numerous beaches on the west side and at every second beach, we enjoyed a short swim with sometimes large waves. At the southern end of the island, we hiked through the national park, which has a lighthouse and a jungle trail. After lunch high above the beach, plans for the next day were already being made. We decided to take a 4 Island Tour, for which we were brought to the harbor from our accommodation early the next morning. With a long-tail boat, we went to the dreamy islands. The first stop was for half an hour of snorkeling in front of a small island. The reef was not as beautiful as on Tioman Island, but there were numerous colorful fish and a lot of sea urchins. Then we continued by boat to the Emerald Bay, where we got off with life jackets. Our guide led us through a cave about 80 meters long with high waves using a headlamp. We will not forget this swimming experience so quickly and were rewarded with a very beautiful bay with turquoise water inside the island. After returning through the cave to the boat, we were able to explore a reef while snorkeling at another stop. Finally, we continued to the island of Koh Ngai with a very long and beautiful beach. Here, a lunch buffet was set up for us, which we enjoyed on the beach. After swimming and a walk along the beach, we headed back to Koh Lanta. We ended the evening with a scooter ride to the west side of the island, to the Old Town with its traditional Thai houses. We had to cool down the spicy dinner with a short purchase of milk before we went to the hammock in front of our bungalow. Here we received the message that our Bachelor's thesis grades are online. After uneasy seconds, we could happily embrace each other and celebrate with a large beer :P We have already left Koh Lanta and are on the ferry on our way to the island of Koh Phi Phi, from where we will contact you again.
See you then,
Malia
