First, I visited the Palacio de Gobierno here in Merida. There are various murals by Fernando Castro Pacheco to see. I was impressed, but the photos don't quite do justice to the paintings.
Afterwards, I walked along Paseo de Montejo, the former grand boulevard of Merida, and visited the Palacio Cantón. It houses the Museo Regional de Antropología de Yucatan with various artifacts from the region.
After a trip to the beauty salon and the pool, I had dinner at a trendy restaurant with a rooftop terrace and a view of the main square, but unfortunately the food was average... However, I happened to notice a concert by a local singer and I happily joined in and got to experience a very lovely evening of Yucatecan music!
