Today we took a closer look at Granville Island after just driving past it on our city tour yesterday.
Granville Island has a colorful mix of restaurants, markets, theaters, cabarets and shops. The island is actually not an island but an extension of Vancouver towards the water and can therefore be reached either by land or by water taxi.
We then walked back to downtown Vancouver via the Marine Building. We took the opportunity to take a look at this building from the inside, which is considered a tourist attraction due to its Art Deco architectural style. This building also served as a backdrop for several films and series, such as: B. Smallville or Blade: Trinity.
We then enjoyed the nature of Canada and Iceland from a bird's eye view in "Flyover Canada", a new multimedia experience. This experience is the Canadian version of the "Voletarium" from Europa Park. We will probably always be reminded of this beautiful flight over Canada in Europa Park!
