I arrived in the state of Sao Paulo by plane. (Because 30 hours of bus ride was a little too long for me...)
I went to Ihlabela during weekdays, a small island four hours away from Sao Paulo by bus.
On the first day, I rented a bike to explore the island. ...Easier said than done... At first, I wanted to go to a waterfall, but it turned out to be much steeper than I thought. After an hour and a half in the heat, I still managed to reach the top ;)
It was worth it though, there was a natural waterslide there among other things. But the countless hummingbirds and the palm-sized blue butterflies were the best.
Unfortunately, they were not the only insects there -.- There is a certain type of mosquito on Ihlabela. The insects are very small, but their bites can be quite big. And they prefer to bite the feet...
After that, I drove along the coast - it was super beautiful.
The next day, I finally went diving again. Unfortunately, I didn't see any seahorses or turtles, but there were huge colorful fish
